Amos Clapper, 70-year-old bachelor who had lived in Anamosa for the past 50 years, died Monday afternoon at Mercy hospital following an illness of several weeks.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Loder Funeral home with the Rev. J. K. Delahooke, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Forest Chapel cemetery.
