OXFORD JUNCTION--L. W. Sley, 87, Chicago, Ill., formerly of Oxford Junction, died Sunday morning, July 2, at a hospital in Chicago, following a lingering illness.

Body was brought to the Hayden Funeral home, Oxford Junction, Tuesday evening, July 4. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 5, at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran church, Oxford Junction. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.

He was born the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Sley, Oxford Junction, and had lived most his life in this area. He was married to Hattie Hensley, Oxford Junction. Following his marriage he had operated a hotel in Oxford Junction for a number of years.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Edith, at home; two sons, Donald, Chicago, Ill.; and Kenneth, Clinton; one brother, Vern, Orlando, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
