The funeral of Fred Bizek, 59, of Oxford Junction was held at 10:30 on Friday, June 22, at Hayden's Funeral Home, Oxford Junction. Burial was at Mayflower Cemetery. Officiating clergyman was the Rev. James Mattson, Wyoming.

Mr. Bizek died Tuesday at the Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa.

He was born March 20, 1920 on a farm near Oxford Junction, the son of Frank and Josephine Chaultsky Bizek.

He lived in the Oxford Junction area all of his life, moving to town in 1953. He married Daisy Ross in 1959 in Iowa City. He was employed by Clinton Machine Company, Maquoketa, for 25 years.

Survivors are his wife, Daisy; and one brother, Louie, of Oxford Junction. Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers were Paul Zell, L. L. McCreight, Ray Sobotka, Kenneth Lorenzen, Carl Otte and Otto Koranda.
