Mildred M. Coburn, 88, the daughter of Samuel and Sarah Walston First was born September 24, 1890 at Monmouth, IA. She attended Wyoming high school, and then married Elmer Coburn June 8, 1910 at Anamosa, IA.

The couple farmed in South Dakota and Minnesota until they moved to the Wyoming area in 1933. There they lived in Wyoming until Mr. Coburn's death in 1971. She then moved to the home of her son in Davenport, IA, where she lived until ill health forced her to move to the Meadow Lawn Nursing Home, Davenport, in 1975 where she lived until her death.

Services were held Wednesday, June 27, 11 a.m. at the Hayden Funeral Home.

Mildred Coburn is survived by her son Lowell of Davenport, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and one brother.
