WYOMING--Louis Franklin Pealer, 87, died Friday, May 19, at University hospital, Iowa City.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 22, at 1:30 p.m., at the Wallace Funeral home, Wyoming. Burial was in the Wyoming cemetery.

He was born March 17, 1874, son of David and Sarah Lavina Pealer, La Porte City. In his early youth he moved to Wyoming with his parents and had spent almost the entire remainder of his life in Wyoming community.

He attended the Wyoming school and was graduated from Business college at Davenport. Following his graduation he taught penmanship in Davenport and Cincinnati, Ohio, for a short time, then returned to Wyoming to enter the printing business.

In 1911 he started farming and was still actively engaged in that occupation at the time of his death. May 2, 1906, he was married to Ruby Ethel Richardson.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Ned, Cedar Rapids; and two grandsons, Larry, stationed in Japan with the United States Navy and Garry, at home in Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice; a son, Paul; three brothers, Oscar, Edward and John; and a sister, Mary LeNoir Platner.
