Last rites for Mrs. Fletcher Emerson, 73, who died Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lee Bruce, in Newport community, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Green Center church. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining.

Mrs. Emerson's death followed a long illness. Born in Newport community, she had lived there her entire life with the exception of a few years when she made her home in Anamosa.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lee Bruce and Mrs. Lee Starry, near Cedar Rapids; a son, Truman Emerson, Waterloo; three sisters, Mrs. Will Dripps and Mrs. Frank Grafft, Anamosa, and Mrs. H. G. Cole, Mechanicsville; and two brothers, J. L. Starry, Olin, and Ray Starry, near Marion.

Friends may call at the Loder Funeral home until time of the service.
