Miles Allen Glick died Monday, May 28, at Tipton, Iowa. He was born near Olin, December 19, 1880, the son of Mitchell and Sara Garrison Glick. He lived his early life at Sioux City and moved to the Olin area in 1905.

On July 24, 1906 he married Nellie Blanche Horr at Tipton. The couple had ten children. They farmed near Olin until 1921, and then moved to town where Miles was a painter and carpenter until 1961.

Surviving him are his wife, Nellie; four sons, Maurice Keith "Pete", and Jay of Olin, Clifford of Mt. Vernon, James of Anamosa and four daughters, Reba, Mrs. Wayne Wood of Escondido, CA, Doris, Mrs. Robert Will of Santee, CA, Nona, Mrs. Albert Beidenbach and Kathryn, Mrs. Harlan Garlick, both of Tipton; 30 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, his parents, seven brothers and two sisters.

Services were held Thursday, May 31, 1979 at Hayden Funeral Home Olin, with burial in Olin cemetery. Mr. Donald Maire served as speaker and Mrs. Greg Von Behren was organist. Pallbearers were: Larry Glick, Jimmy Glick, Jerry Glick, Ralph Oltman, Larry Mueller and Robert Glick.
