Word was received last week of the death of a former Oxford Junction resident. Ruth Steward Kennedy died in her home in San Mateo, CA.

Kennedy was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mac Stewart and was a graduate of Oxford Junction High School. Her father was employed by the railroad. She had a brother, George and a sister Mrs. Dwight Genevieve Chapman.

Kennedy is survived by her husband, Harry; two sons, Bob, Oklahoma City and Mac, of Chicago, and six grandchildren.
