Funeral services were held for Roland Leslie, 46, of Oxford Junction, on Saturday, November 18 at the Assembly of God Church. Burial was at Mayflower Cemetery. Officiating clergymen were the Rev. Keith Koepcke of Oxford Junction and the Rev. Ramon Booth of Cedar Rapids. Organist was Joyce Booth and soloists were Mrs. Keith Roepcke and Teresa Booth.

Pallbearers were Eric Leslie, Jack Lieffort, Blair Williams, Bill Wivell, Don Martin and Ralph Kersten.

Mr. Leslie died November 15, 1978, at the Monticello Public Hospital.

He was born June 16, 1932 at Oxford Mills, In Jones County, the son of George W. Sr. and Buelah Chapman Leslie.

He graduated from Oxford Junction High School in 1950. On July 12, 1952, he married Jane Butcher at Oxford Junction. The couple lived in Oxford Mills. He was employed as a machinist at Clinton engines, Maquoketa, for 27 years and for the past seven months at Energy, Monticello.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors are his wife, five daughters, Mrs. Rick (Pamela) Logan, Oxford Junction; and Kathy, Carla, Peggy and Sally, all at home; his mother, Buelah Leslie, Oxford Junction; three brothers, Melvin, St. Louis, MO: George, Jr., Preston; and Allen, Oxford Junction; four sisters, Mrs. Eugene (Viola) Flory, Clinton; Mrs. William (Mildred) Clapp, Wheatland; Marjorie Leslie and Mrs. Francis (Gertrude) Zaruba, Oxford Junction.

Preceding him in death was his father.
