Funeral services for Alice P. Laetare, DeWitt, a former Olin resident, were held at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt, on November 7.

She died Saturday, Nov. 4, at the DeWitt Hospital following a short illness. Rev. Alfred O. Pautch was in charge of the service. Joyce Fletcher was organist and Connie Vickers soloed.

Casketbearers were: Grant Kruse, Gayle Rasmussen, Brad Rasmussen, Tony Jensen, Dan McDevitt, and Bill Lee Kell. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.

Laetare was born Feb. 10, 1909, at Olin, the daughter of Paul and Frances Benischek Groth. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on Aug. 6, 1950. She married Carl Laetare Feb. 16, 1927, and they farmed in the Olin area before moving to DeWitt in 1970.

They were the parents of three children: Carl, Escondido, CA; Helen (Mrs. Gaylord) Rasmussen, DeWitt; and Frances (Mrs. Steven) Kruse, Huxley.

Survivors are her children; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. William Kell, Olin, and Mrs. Helen Warner, Hale.

Her parents, her husband, and a brother preceded her in death.
