Verle Harvey, 65, died at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids, on Wednesday, Nov. 8, following several weeks of illness.

The funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. in Olin Methodist Church on Nov. 10. Rev. Edward Peterson officiated. Mrs. Mervin Chamberlin was organist.

Burial was in the Olin Cemetery. Casketbearers were Fred Reck, Walter Rohwedder, Kenneth Findley, Melvin Borcherding, Harry Rohwedder and Walter Laetare.

Harvey was born May 16, 1913, at Columbus, IN, the son of Albert and Hattie Cole Harvey. On Aug. 31, 1940 he married Esther Engelking at Olin, and the couple spent their married life here.

During the past 15 years he operated a Radiator Repair and Alignment shop in Olin. He was a member of the Olin Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Esther, and a brother, Marion Harvey, Brownstown, IN. His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
