Funeral services for Ruth M. Jones, 68, who died Sept. 2 in Cedar Rapids, were held last Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Rev. Fred Richardson conducted the services.

Burial was in Olin Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Jones, Richard Frazier, Larry Easler, Keith Nanke, Gary Nanke and John Nanke.

Jones was born at Wyoming on Sept. 19, 1909, the daughter of Charles and Margaret Hall Larkey. She graduated from Wyoming High. She then attended Iowa State Teachers College and taught at a rural school near Hale for two years.

She married Gilbert Jones June 22, 1929, in Cedar Rapids. The couple lived in the Olin community all of their married life. She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years at Gordon Implement and Hardware and later at Hygrade Food Corporation.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Women and many local clubs.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Sharon Savickey, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; a brother, Charles Larkey, Topeka, KS; and three granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
