Funeral services were held Aug. 23 for James Russell Orr, 63, of Onslow who died at Iowa City Aug. 20.

Services were held at the Hayden Funeral Home with burial at Clay Cemetery. Rev. Charles Johnson officiated.

Pallbearers were Rick Sullivan, Kevin Orr, Maurice Butt, Don Cole, Jack McLaughlin and Kevin Bahnsen.

Orr was born in Jones County on June 14, 1915, the son of Clarence and Hazel Hamilton Orr.

He lived his entire life in this county where he farmed for many years. He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Kress, Clarence; his father, Clarence, Maquoketa; two brothers, Merle, Onslow, and Dale, Rockford, IL; one sister, Maxine Brady, Baldwin, and by two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister.
