CENTER JUNCTION--Ruth Ellen Stanton, 82, died Sunday morning, Sept. 4, at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids. She was the mother of Truman Stanton, Center Junction.

She was born Nov. 28, 1877, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Dickson, on a farm in Marshall county. She was a member of the Collins Methodist church and at the time of her death shared the honor with one other of being the oldest member of the church. She had made her home with her sons since the death of her husband.

Survivors beside her son Truman, include another son, Joseph J., Des Moines; one grandson, John J. Stanton, Maquoketa, one granddaughter, Mrs. Robert McCrae, Fort Collins, Colo.; five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles N. Stanton, July 12, 1943.
