William H. Peck, 69, died June 24 at Independence, Iowa.

Rev. Charles Johnson officiated at the funeral held at 1:30 p.m. June 27. Pallbearers were William Peck, Robert Davidson, Steven Norton, Roger Peck, Daniel Peck and Roger Norton.

Born in Wyoming March 18, 1909, he was the son of Arthur and Mary Johnson Peck. He graduated from Wyoming High School and began to work at the Crescent Print Shop where he worked until January 1975.

He also served as city clerk for over 30 years. He was a member of the Wyoming Fire Department for 31 years, and member of the Odd Fellow Lodge until it was closed.

Peck married Doris Norton June 16, 1930, at Springville.

He is survived by his wife Doris, two sons, Arthur of Fairfield, and Jerry of Muncie, Ind., five grandsons, three granddaughters and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
