Mrs. John (Gladys) Streets, 71, Wyoming, formerly of the Monmouth area, died Sunday, April 30, in the Maquoketa Hospital.

She was born May 11, 1906 in Jackson County, the daughter of Ernest and Millie Brady Hamilton. She married John Streets June 14, 1939. She was a teacher for 44 years in Jackson, Clinton and Jones county school systems. She was a member of the Emeline Presbyterian Church, where she served as a church elder.

Survivors include her husband; a sister, Mrs. Carl (Ernestine) Pence, Monmouth and a brother, Clayton Hamilton, Wyoming.

Funeral services were Wednesday, May 3 at 1:30 p.m. Burial was at the Monmouth Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Merton Eganhouse, Herb Kinion, Charlie Goodrick, Clayton Snyder, Jerry DeLarm and Ronald Nowachek.
