Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 17, for Mrs. Louise ("Icy") Guhl, 85, at St. John American Lutheran Church, Olin. Mrs. Guhl died April 15 at the Monticello Senior home.

Rev. John Flaa conducted the service. Music was by Mrs. Flaa; solo by Mrs. Larry Scharff.

Burial was in Olin cemetery; Haydens were in charge of services.

Pall bearers were James Tallman, Marlin Laetare, Lyle Vernon, Vernie Kreger, Donald Starry and Gale VonBehren.

Mrs. Guhl was born November 13, 1882, near Clarence, the daughter of Phillip and Margaret Hansen Langschwager. She was married to Fred Guhl, Jr.

Icy worked for many years as a switch board operator for the Olin Telephone Company. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Olin.

She is survived by two children, Dorothy Parker, Davenport, and Lavern, Olin; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a brother, Will Langschwager, Clinton. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister and a brother.
