Olin, Ia. Jan 2--The remains of O. C. Rummel were brought to this city Tuesday afternoon and taken to the home of his mother, Mrs. J. M. Rummel. Mr. Rummel, who had been ill some time, but was thought to be getting better, passed away at a hospital in Kansas City where he had been taken for treatment, Dec. 24, 1917. He was born and grew to manhood in this vicinity, but had lived in Kansas many years. He was 58 years, 4 months and 18 days old and had been ill for several months. He leaves his wife, daughter Mabel, aged mother and three brothers and three sisters all of whom attended the funeral services, which were held Wednesday afternoon at the United Brethren church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. C. Dillavon, with interment in the City cemetery. The Knight Templars, of which the deceased was a member, had charge of the services.

Relatives from out of town were D. C. Rummel of Clear Lake, Iowa; G. F. Rummel of Chicago, Mrs. C. W. B. Deer of Albion, Pa.; Henry Decker, Chas. Decker and Harry Decker, of Stanwood, Iowa; James McConkie and Mrs. Lou Lange of Clarence, Iowa.
