Funeral services were held Monday, April 3 at Hayden Funeral Home, Wyoming, for Delberta Betzer, 59, of Wyoming. Rev. James Mattson officiated at the services, and burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Paul Allen, Ben Otten, Leland Schuman, Kermit Sutton, Jr., David Sutton and Gary Brownlee. Honorary pallbearers were Willard Larkey and Cecil Oldridge.

Mrs. Betzer died Saturday, April 1 at the Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa. She was born October 23, 1918, the daughter of Delbert and Beulah Morehead Sutton. She graduated from Davenport High School and taught at Clay Mills rural school in Jones County for several years.

She married Earl Betzer on June 9, 1940 at Davenport. The couple farmed in Jones County until 1958 when they moved to Onslow and later to Wyoming. Mrs. Betzer worked several years for the Clinton Engine Corporation until poor health forced her retirement.

Survivors include her husband, Earl, a daughter, Mrs. James (Joyce) Smith of Knoxville, a son, Darwin of Wyoming, her step mother, Mrs. Gertrude Sutton of Maquoketa, five grandchildren, two brothers, Kermit Sutton of Davenport and Carlyle Sutton of Bettendorf, and a sister, Mrs. Bernadine Brownlee of Moline, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
