Edith H. Davis, 88, died Saturday, January 21, at the Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa.

She was born at Monticello June 12, 1889, the daughter of Andrew and Matilda Sell Bajasch. She attended school at Monticello, and on June 25, 1907, she married Raymond Davis at Anamosa. She spent her married life on farms in Madison Township. Since 1976, when her husband died, she has lived on the home farm with her son, Ronald.

Surviving are two sons, Ronald, Center Junction; Louis, Clinton; three daughters, Mrs. Routh (Leona) Mallicoat, Wyoming; Mrs. Owen (Lorna) McGuire, Center Junction; and Mrs. George (Nelda) Von Sprecken, Wyoming; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Herman Bajasch, Monticello.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, three sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hayden Funeral home, Wyoming. Burial was in North Madison Pioneer cemetery. Rev. James Mattson officiated.

Pallbearers were David Von Sprecken, Duane Mallicoat, Robert Davis, Rollo Lindley, Ronald Gruber, and Terry Baumann.
