Funeral services were held for Louis Albert Buresh, 79, of Oxford Junction at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 29, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial was at Mayflower Cemetery, Oxford Junction.

Rosary was Thursday evening at Hayden's Funeral Home. The Rev. R. J. Sigwarth officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Dennis Coon, Monte Coon, Larry Coon, Robert Coon, William Brauer, Bradley Anderson, John Sorenson, Ronald Nowachek and Michael House.

Mr. Buresh died Tuesday, December 27, at the Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa.

He was born April 23, 1898, near Oxford Junction, the son of Joseph and Anna Benhart Buresh. On March 29, 1921 he married Kathryn Lasack at Oxford Junction. They farmed north of Oxford Junction and he was known for his cattle raising and the raising and showing of Belgian and Clydesdale horses.

For many years, he was leader of the Buresh Concertina Orchestra. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Lillian) Brauer of Lost Nation and Mrs. Stanley (Marguerite) Coon of Oxford Junction; one son, Louis, of Conroe, Texas; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers and one son.
