WYOMING--Ernest R. Hamilton, 75, Wyoming, died on Sunday, May 1.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 4, at 2 p.m. in the Emeline Presbyterian church. Rev. Laurence Nelson officiated. Interment was in the Hickory Grove cemetery, Baldwin.

Pallbearers were Dylon Hardin, Walter Ihrig, Don Lindemier, Don Miller, Don Casteel and Tim Ripperton.

Mrs. Shelby Orris was organist. Mrs. Lloyd Heide was soloist.

He was born June 23, 1884, son of Thomas and Leona Alden Hamilton, Jones county. He attended the Clay Mills county school and in 1900 moved to a farm in Emeline.

Feb. 24, 1904, he was united in marriage to Millie Brady at Maquoketa, and moved to a farm west of Emeline where he spent his entire life. He was baptized into the Presbyterian faith and was a member of the Modern Woodman of American for the last 50 years.

Survivors include his wife, Millie R.; two daughters, Gladys, Mrs. John Streets and Ernestine, Mrs. Carl Pence, Monmouth; one son, Clayton Hamilton, Wyoming.

Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Jacobsen and Mrs. Ethel Hanrahan; and one brother, Purl Hamilton, all of California; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Camilla, who died in infancy and one brother.
