OLIN--Mrs. John Rieken, 66, Olin, died Wednesday, April 20, following a lingering illness, at John McDonald hospital, Monticello.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 23, at 1:30 p.m. at the Zion American Lutheran church, Wyoming. Rev. Robert R. Ahrens officiated. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Pallbearers were Louis Guhl, Ralph Orth, Lawrence Dean, Andrew Thomsen, Louis Lorenzen and Norris Luckstead.

George Reiken was organist. Mrs. Arnold Schlueter and Harlan Hetzler sang a duet. Mrs. Peter Sievers and Mrs. Hans Ketelsen were in charge of the flowers. Harold Wurst and Raymond Huggans were ushers.

She was born Agnes Wilhelmina Martensen, March 15, 1894, daughter of Martin Martensen and Cecilia Christiansen Martensen, Monmouth. She grew up on a farm near Cascade.

She was united in marriage to John Ambuehl, February of 1918. One daughter was born to this union. Family lived in the Cascade, Wyoming and Monticello area.

On Oct. 24, 1942, she was united in marriage to John Rieken in Wyoming. Couple lived at Olin where she made her home until her death. Mrs. Rieken was baptized and confirmed in Zion American Lutheran church, Wyoming, in 1938, by Rev. Zellinger.

Survivors include her husband, John Rieken, Olin; her daughter, Mrs. Richard Steiner, Monticello; and one step-daughter, Mrs. Howard Beire, Olin.

Other survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Hans Mohr, Hopkinton; Mrs. Matilda Sauser, Hopkinton; Mrs. Kathryn Devaney, Dubuque; Beulah Martensen, Cascade; and Mrs. Sherman Conlin, Cascade.

Others include four brothers, Theodore Martensen, Bernard; Alex Martensen, Cascade; Chris Martensen, Sabula; and Howard Martensen, Dubuque; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
