OLIN--Wallace Lewis Hart, 90, died Wednesday, March 30, at Bettendorf. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, April 2, at the Methodist church, Olin. Rev. John R. Schlosser, officiated. Burial was at the Olin cemetery.

Pallbearers included August Ahrendsen, Richard Benischek, Robert Sharon, Francis Glenn, Dr. N. R. Waggoner and Grover Benischek.

Mrs. Louis Rohwedder was organist. Mrs. Andy Cubit was soloist. Arrangements were in charge of the Campbell Funeral home, Olin.

He was born March 28, 1870, son of Lewis and Lucy Sexton Hart, Cedar county residents, near Stanwood.

Dec. 9, 1890, he was united in marriage to Estella Florence Easterly, of near Stanwood. Three children were born to this union. For a number of years couple farmed near Stanwood, then moved to Olin where Mr. Hart engaged in various business enterprises until his retirement in 1949.

Since retiring he has made his home with his son, Eugene, Olin, and a daughter, Irma Williams, Wheatland.

Mr. Hart had been a member of the Olin town council. He was a member of the Methodist church, Olin; Ancient Landmark lodge, No. 200; Order of Eastern Star, Hiawatha chapter; and Modern Woodmen fraternal organization.

Survivors include his son and daughter and three grandchildren, Mary Ann Chamberlin, Wyoming; Linda Hart, Olin; and Marvella Harris, Wheatland; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister, two brothers, a son, and a grandson.
