Mary Ellen Anderson, 54, died June 25 at the Anamosa Community Hospital. She was born October 1, 1922 near Center Junction, the daughter of Elmer and Ellen Mead Andrews.

She graduated from Center Junction high school, and married Harley Anderson February 9, 1944 at Center Junction. They farmed near Center Junction for many years.

Mrs. Anderson had been a patient in the Monticello Senior home for the last several years.

Funeral services were held in the Hayden Funeral home, Wyoming, Tuesday, June 28. Burial was in North Madison Pioneer cemetery. Rev. John Osborn officiated.

Pall bearers were Myron Kuhns, Lynn Kuhns, Dale Andrews, Carl Seehusen, William J. Thompson and Darrell West.

She is survived by two sons, Gene, Cedar Rapids; and Brian, Center Junction; and one brother, Richard Andrews, Greenview, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents and three daughters.
