Funeral services were held last Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wyoming Methodist Church for Harold Hodgden, 64. Mr. Hodgden died June 22.

Soloist at the funeral was Loren Hartwig and organist was Mrs. Dick Pace. Burial was in Mayflower Cemetery, Oxford Junction.

Pall bearers were Arnold Koranda, Gene Koranda, Leonard Clapp, Delbert Hodgden, Larry Hodgden and Glenn Merritt.

Mr. Hodgden, the son of Vern and Sophia Krutzfield Hodgden, was born at Oxford Junction, March 20, 1913.

He attended Clarence school and married Viola Koranda September 8, 1938, at Nashua, Iowa. The couple farmed near Oxford Junction until 1956, when they moved to Wyoming. He operated a bulk oil truck there for many years.

Mr. Hodgden was active in 4-H and Farm Bureau work.

Survivors include his wife, Viola, one son, Kenneth, Brainar, Minnesota and two daughters: Mrs. Wilfred (Judith) Hebl, of Iowa City, and Jean Kula, Cedar Rapids. He had eight grandchildren, three brothers: Floyd, Oxford Junction; Charles, Mt. Vernon; Wayne, Tipton and two sisters: Mrs. Erma Clapp, Oxford Junction; and Verda Merritt, Clarence.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
