Ted Hamilton, 71, of Maquoketa died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1976 in Dubuque.

The funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30 at Hayden Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Johnson in charge. Burial was in the Clay Cemetery near Onslow.

Mr. Hamilton was born in Clay Township Feb. 17, 1905, to James and Jennie Edwards Hamilton. He married Beth Conley Nov. 28, 1931. The couple operated a restaurant in Onslow and farmed in Jones and Jackson counties.

Survivors include 4 sons, Don, Cedar Rapids; Tom, Mechanicsville; Larry, Anamosa; Gene, Colo; 4 daughters, Mrs. Tom (Janet) Bodkin, Maquoketa; Mrs. Richard (Sandra) Conley, Anamosa; Mrs. Linda Heinsuis, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Richard (Yvonne) Merrill, Penfield, N.Y.; 23 grandchildren; 1 brother, Max, Anamosa and 1 sister, Mrs. Mildred Harms, Onslow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 daughter, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
