Marvin C. Blohm, 62, Center Jct. died a few hours after being admitted to the John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, early Wednesday morning, Dec. 15, 1976.

Mr. Blohm was born near Center Jct. Sept. 29, 1914, to Fred and Sophia Christiansen Blohm. He graduated from Center Jct. High School and attended Lenox College in Hopkinton. During WWII he served in the U.S. Army for three years.

Sept. 23, 1942, Marvin and Selena Otten were married. The couple farmed in the Center Jct. area after his discharge from the army.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Julia Ann (Mrs. Dan Berchenbriter) Cedar Rapids; his mother, Mrs. Edith Blohm, Martelle, and 4 sisters, Mrs. Freida Martens, Center Jct., Mrs. Paul (Ella) Brokaw, Monticello, Mrs. Lucille Freese, Alburnett and Velma (Mrs. Arthur) Hinriches, Martelle. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 at the Wayne Zion Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery with military honors.
