Funeral services were held for the former Oxford Junction resident, Charles Howard Brown, 72, of Belavan, Wisconsin, on Monday, December 13, 1976, at Hayden's Funeral Home. Rev. Ramon Booth officiated at the services. Burial was in the Mayflower Cemetery.

Mr. Brown died Friday morning, December 10, 1976, at a Belavan hospital.

Born January 15, 1904 in Chicago, he was the son of Charles and Susan Downey Brown. Mr. Brown received his education in Chicago.

In 1937 he was married to Louise Hudrlik at the Lutheran Church in Oxford Junction. They made their home in Oxford Junction in 1943, where they owned a restaurant for almost 20 years. Brown was also the owner of a feed business for several years. They moved to Belavan in 1965, where he was a salesman. Mr. Brown retired one year ago.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Betty Sue Graf, Jefferson City, Missouri; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Art Brown, Sikeston, Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Elms, Clear Water, Florida; and Mrs. Helen Coleman, Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

Pallbearers were Raymond Sobotka, L. L. McCreight, Richard Wink, Melvin Latare, Keith Barber and Jerry Mulvihill.
