John Hinrichs, 83, of Wyoming, died November 20, 1986, at John McDonald Hospital in Monticello.

Services were Monday, Nov. 22, 1976, at Zion Lutheran Church, Wyoming. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello, Iowa.

John was born near Scotch Grove on March 11, 1893 to Tobias and Wilhemine Broerkens Hinrichs. He attended rural school and worked on the home farm until his marriage to Alvina Schrader on Oct. 28, 1915.

The couple farmed near Center Jct. until 1960 when they moved to Wyoming.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wyoming.

Survivors include his wife; 2 brothers, William of Cedar Rapids and Elmer of Center Jct.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Harry (Mary) Moore of Monticello, Mrs. Frank (Lillie) Divoky of Oxford Jct. and Mrs. Leonard (Mabel) Fluckiger of Monticello.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.

Pallbearers were Jon Schrader, Donald Schrader, William Goudy, Paul Stadtmueller and Raymond Hinrichs.
