Fred Nowachek, 78, passed away Nov. 21, 1976 at Wyoming, Iowa.

Services were held Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1976 at the Wyoming Methodist Church. Burial was in Mayflower Cemetery, Oxford Jct., Iowa.

Fred was born in Oxford Township, Sept. 25, 1898 to Bert and Anna Slouha Nowachek. He received his early education in Jones County rural schools.

On December 17, 1919 he married Clara Fritz at Anamosa. The couple farmed in the Oxford Jct. area until 1945 when they moved to Wyoming.

He was a long-time member of Odd Fellows.

Mr. Nowachek is survived by 1 son, Robert of Wyoming; 2 daughters, Mrs. Paul (Anna Marie) Huston of Wyoming and Mrs. Jim (Rosalie) Underwood of West Minister, Colorado; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, 1 daughter, 1 great grandson, parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Pallbearers were Verlon Huston, Dennis Huston, Ronald Nowachek, Greg Dirks, Jeffery Reilly and Jim Reilly.
