Funeral services were held for Mrs. Julia Koranda, 91, Oxford Junction, on Monday, October 18th, at 2:00 p.m. at Hayden's Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Holmgren officiated at the services. Burial was at the Mayflower Cemetery.

Mrs. Koranda died Saturday morning, October 16, 1976, at the Ridgecrest Retirement Village in Davenport.

She was born January 4, 1885, east of Oxford Junction, the daughter of Frank and Josephine Hudrlik Beranek. In 1907, she was married to Ed Koranda. She had always lived in Oxford Junction.

She was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge.

Surviving are two sons, Emile Koranda of Oxford Junction, and Gilbert Koranda, Deltona, Florida; three daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Frances) Paul, and Lillian, both of Davenport, and Mrs. Harold (Velma) Beerbower, Bettendorf; one brother, John Beranek, California; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, one brother, one grandson and one great grandson.

The pallbearers were Robert Eads, Richard Wink, Otto Koranda, Marvin Vacek, Leland Barnhart and Frank Hudrlik.
