George R. Wlach, 86, died October 11, 1976, at the Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa.

The funeral was Thursday, October 14th, at 1:30 p.m. in the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Loren Simpson officiated. Burial was in the Mayflower Cemetery.

He was born in Oxford Junction on September 13, 1890, the son of John and Mary Slouha Wlach. He married Mary Henak in Hale, Iowa.

Mr. Wlach was a farmer. He moved to Charlotte 4 1/2 years ago, where he lived with Mr. & Mrs. John Stevenson, Sr.

Survivors include one daughter, Margaret of Charlotte, formerly of Oxford Junction, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife and an infant daughter.
