Peter Von Spreecken, 80, Wyoming, died at the Anamosa Community Hospital on Friday July 30, 1976.

Services were held Tuesday, August 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at the Wyoming Methodist Church with the Rev. Loren Simpson officiating. Burial was at the Wyoming Cemetery.

He was born on March 2, 1896 near Wyoming, the son of John and Wilhelmina Schmalfeldt Von Spreecken. He attended rural and Wyoming schools and was in the army in France during World War I. He married Blanche Sarby on Dec. 17, 1919 at Wyoming. The couple farmed all their life around Wyoming. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 259.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Robert of Onslow, Donald of Fairbanks, Alaska, Ross of Toledo; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, John of Mechanicsville and one sister, Mrs. Pauline Sieveka of Anamosa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, five sisters, one grandson and one granddaughter.
