Funeral services for Meta L. Neal, 82, of Anamosa will be held Friday July 30th, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Monticello. The interment will be at the Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Herold Naig officiating.

Mrs. Neal died suddenly at her home Tuesday afternoon. She was born July 30, 1893 in Lyons, Iowa, to Henry and Augusta Schlemme Ladehoff. She received her early education in rural Jones County schools.

On June 30, 1914 she married Charles Neal. They farmed in the Scotch Grove and Monticello areas.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Chris (Dorothy) Holmes of Anamosa; a son, Floyd of Monmouth; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Fritz Ladehoff of Aitkin, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son - Paul, 7 sisters and 4 brothers.

Visitation is Thursday July 29th, at 7:00 p.m.
