Graveside services were held on May 4 at the Wyoming Cemetery for former Wyoming resident, Julia Maye Richards, 94, Little Rock, Arkansas. Charles Johnson officiated.

She was born at Wyoming on August 2, 1881, daughter of J. Whitney and Harriet J. Brainard. She was one of nine children.

She taught rural school near Wyoming, and later married Dr. James W. Richards, who practiced medicine in Center Junction for several years.

Mrs. Richards lived in many communities during her lifetime, and was always very active in many church and community activities wherever she lived. She was honored by the National Congress of Parent and Teachers for outstanding leadership, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, honorary member of the American Retired Persons, a member of Little Rock American Legion Auxuilary, O.E.S., and Westower Hills Presbyterian church.

Mrs. Richards resided at Presbyterian Villages, Little Rock, Ark. for the final 18 months of her life.
