page 5Paul N. Smith, 75, agent for Farm Bureau Insurance at Anamosa, died Sunday evening in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
Born May 27, 1890, near Center Junction, he attended Monticello High School, Cornell College and received a BS degree from Iowa State University.
He was married to Samara Perrine June 18, 1924. He was a veteran of World War II.
He was a Jones county agent for four years, then farmed near Center Junction until 1936 when he became associated with National Hybrid Corn Co.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jack of Clinton; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Greer of San Diego; three grandchildren; a brother, Stuart of Ames; and a sister, Gladys McNeilly of Center Junction.
Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 1:30 in the United Methodist Church in Anamosa.
Interment was at North Madison Pioneers Cemetery, Center Junction.
