page 4Funeral services for Elmer Forest Timm, 76, of Wyoming were held Tuesday afternoon, October 2 at Zion American Lutheran Church. Mr. Timm died Saturday, September 29 at Anamosa Community Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born January 17, 1897 southeast of Lost Nation, the son of Albert and Christina Busch Timm. On August 15, 1923, he was united in marriage to Lena Wiedenhoff at Lowden. The couple farmed in the Lost Nation, Oxford Junction and Wyoming areas before retiring to Wyoming in 1950.
Mr. Timm is survived by his wife, one son, Donald, of Lost Nation; two daughters, Mrs. Verlin (Evelynn) Crist of Maquoketa; Mrs. Robert (Darlene) Zaruba of Marshalltown; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also, one brother, Lester of Lowden; three sisters, Mrs. Viola Rieling of DeWitt, Mrs. Clarence Adrian of Charlotte and Mrs. Irma Fritcher of Toronto.
He was preceeded in death by his parents and on brother.
Burial services were at the Massillon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Darrell Timm, Clifford Wiedenhoff, George Busch, Vertus Rieling, Clifford Berner and Raymond Hintz.
