Anamosa, Ia. Feb. 23--The news of the death of John Beam at The Dalles, Oregon, which was expected from the former reports of his serious illness, is a source of regret to his many friends who knew him during his long years of residence in this vicinity. Mr. Beam is survived by his wife and several children. One son, Herbert, still lives in Anamosa.
