JOHN GORMAN IS DEAD

Father of Rev. Rev. Daniel,
President of St. Joseph’s
College of This City,
Dies in Anamosa

John Gorman, father of the new president of St. Joseph’s College, died Thursday morning at 7 o’clock at his home in Anamosa. The deceased was widely known in Dubuque and Jones Counties. Where he had lived for over fifty years, and was eighty-six years of age. He was a man universally respected for the fine qualities embodied in his character. He is survived by four sons and four daughters. They are the Very Rev. Daniel of Dubuque, Dr. Thomas of Anamosa, John of Waterloo, Nicholas and Mrs. Hansen of Anamosa, Mrs. Sexton of Independence, Sister Mary Alfreda of the R. V. M. of Chicago, and Sister Mary Daniel of Mercy Hospital, Dubuque.

The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 in Anamosa.
