Henry Boos died intestate - without a will - "on or about the 7th day of September 1856." The supporting document is on ancestry.com in an unindexed document. His probate papers are on microfilm at the State Historical Society of Iowa (Iowa City): Johnson County Probate Box 2, F 627 .J6 J69, containing 120 pages for his estate, and 19 for his wife Elizabeth. I did not check to see if they were also on ancestry. As expected many pages are of receipts paid to and by the estate; however, a lists of heirs and property inventories also exist among the many documents.
