I am not sure about who Charles GRABIN's parents were. I do know that he was born in Germany in 1846-47. He immigrated to the US in 1856. He married my Gr Grandfather's sister (Sarah "Tade" BARNES) in 1871 in Johnson Co. Iowa.
They had several children: Effie, Rachel, Willilam, Blanche and Archie.
