Thanks Lynne. We already had that information about Pleasant's parents being a James or John O'Brien and the mother being Catharine/Catherine Barnhardt/Barnhart and she was German. No one can be 100% certain. All we all have to go on is the few stories handed down from the past. Pleasant is suppose to have been born in Washington County TN. There is a "family" story that makes it sounds as though he came from Ireland and not born in Tennessee. There are many other things that make me wonder if maybe his parents never came to the US and that he was not born here. Maybe he bound out to the uncle in the US and sent over here? We just can't seem to tie Pleasant to any of the O'Brien's in the Washington County and surrounding counties of that time period together. There has to be some records somewhere it's just a matter of finding them. It's been a big mystery that several of us cousins have been trying to crack for some time. We keep on searching!
