In Response To: Death Cert (Dom Lumsden)

I looked at the microfilm for the Death Transcriptions for Johnson County for May 1912. The State Historical Society had this reel of microfilm. The Death Transcription/Record, unfortunately, did not list the names of his parents. I would be happy to post what information was included on the filming to this site if you would like me to. I don't think you will learn anything, however.

Information only included: name, date of birth, place of birth (Ireland, nothing more), marital status, occupation, informant, date and cause of death, attending physician, burial date (location not mentioned but he is buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Iowa City), and undertaker.

If you haven't sent for the death certificate yet, I thought this might save you some funds.

I did find Mary's obituary, which I will go ahead and post to this site if it is not already there.
Good luck.
