I don't know if you have this inform, it is in the History of Johnson County,1836 to 1882.
GOTTLEIB F. ROESSLER,a farmer of Sharon twp, post-office Sharon Center: was born March 19, 1821: came to America in 1830, and settled in Columbiana county, Ohio, and came to Iowa City in March, 1840. He was married in June 1858, to Miss Louisa Hagan, of Washington county, Iowa. They have a family of ten children:Mary, wife of Herman Foulk; George,John, Clara, William, Gottleib, Ella, Amelia and Caroline. He has alway been a democrat and voted against the probitory constitutional amendment.
Also I have a Sharon Twp. plat map with William Roessler in section 4 owning 158.59 acres. In the 30's and 40's when I was growing up in sharon Twp. there was Ressler family still living there. There is also C.S.Roessler in Newport Twp.who makes a specialty in grape culture and manufactures wine from grapes of his own raising.Contact me at my e-mail address and maybe I can look up some info from this area.
