Late 1860's Wagon Train from Johnson County

I would like to find out if the old history of Johnson County might talk about a wagon train (or wagon trains in general) leaving Johnson County Iowa for Oregon Territory in 1866/67.

Wagon Master name: David Miller

Would there be newspapers for this time period in Johnson County? If so, what are the names/locations of microfilm?
