Hotel in Lone Tree

There is an old tale in my family that two brothers, both known by a variation of Matthieson, ran a hotel in Lone Tree. The one whose name I know, Charles Henry Matthieson, supposedly retired around 1909/1910, being more than 80 years old.

I am hoping someone might have run across either some Matthiesons I could check against, or maybe tell me where I might begin to look in searching for this "hotel in Lone Tree." I am near Lone Tree, at least, so there should be resources around here somewhere.

My only other clue to the family, is that they came from Schleswig-Hostein by way of England.
