Thank you so much for checking. I sent you an e-mail but it bounced
Margaret was married to Roger Anderson
probably about 1941-42. She got pregnant while Roger was in the service
by someone else, but we have no idea who. Margaret was born in Clinton
Co.to Squire and Pauline Johnson. I checked the records for marriage
and Sandra's birth in Clinton but found nothing. We kind of thought maybe
Sandra was born in Iowa City because that's where Margaret's younger
brothers and sisters were born. At a young age she lived in the Annie
Whitmeyer home in Scott Co. after the death of her mother in 1934. Her
brothers and sisters were farmed out to family.
We know Margaret had lived between Rock Island Co IL and Clinton Co.
while she was pregnant with Sandra and for the year she kept Sandra. My
mom knows Sandra had to of been born the end of 43 or in 44 because she
said my sister was about a year old. My sister was born January 1943.
My mom can't remember a whole lot about it and if anyone else in the
family knows anything they're not talking.
Margaret's 2 children from her 2nd marriage to Noble Espe in May
1947, Morrison IL., never knew about her 1st marriage or Sandra until after
her death in 1999. They really want to find her. Since we don't have
much to go on they feel they will probably never find her.Again thanks,
