Monday, November 24, 1924James Ulch, Dies at Solon
Mr. James A. Ulch died last night at 11:30 o'clock, at his home, about one fourth of a mile southwest of Solon. He was 85 years, 2 months and 16 days of age, and was ill about 11 months.
The funeral will take place Wednesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, at the home of his son, W. F. Ulch at Solon. The interrment will be at Oakhill Cemetery.
Surviving are Mr. Ulch's wife, two sons, W. F. of Solon and Anton of North Liberty; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was a pioneer of highest standing in Big Grove township and a large body of friends will experience sorrow, as they read the bad news of this good citizen's demise.
