A requiem high mass for Miss Isabel L. Carroll will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be Calvary Cemetery, Marengo. There will be a rosary Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Donohue Mortuary.
Miss Carroll, 95, died Wednesday at a local nursing home after a long illness.
Miss Carroll was born Jan. 22, 1872, in New Market, Ont., Canada, the daughter of John H and Alicia Carroll. She moved to Mendota, Ill. with her family in 1875 and then to Iowa City in 1876.
She attended St. Agatha's Seminary in Iowa City and later moved to Marengo, where she made her home with her brother, the late Rt. Rev. Msgr. William E. Carroll. She returned to Iowa city following his death in 1953 and has been an Iowa City resident since.
Miss Carroll was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Legion of Mary.
Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Harold Galloger of Bronxville, N.Y., and Mrs. Edward M Hogan of Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
